Dragon's Teeth

Journey
Continue south from the volcanic towers of Dragon's Teeth across the high northern Aberdare moorland to Mount Satima, the range's 4,001-metre summit. This is the onward walking stage of a full-day route that begins at Twin Rocks and requires enough time and strength to return the same way.
Continue only if daylight, weather, fitness and the return plan remain adequate. Reaching Dragon's Teeth is not a reason to press on when conditions have changed.
Timing is variable; use times only as broad guidance.
Typical duration: 120 minutes
The gradient may appear gentle but the elevation is approaching 4,000 metres. Slow down, watch for altitude symptoms and keep enough time for the entire return.
The summit is only the halfway point of the walking day. Leave promptly enough to return through Dragon's Teeth and reach the vehicle before park-closing requirements or darkness.
