Safari from Mpika

Mpika is the practical Great North Road gateway for North Luangwa and the northern approach to Bangweulu Wetlands.

Fuel, supplies, overnight services, and road connections make the town useful between remote wildlife stages.

North Luangwa's road access is principally a dry-season option. Bangweulu access also changes with rain and flood levels.

The road to North Luangwa turns east from the Great North Road toward Mano Gate. Bangweulu is reached southbound before turning west through the Lavushi Manda approach.
