Dry-season game viewing is strongest from May to October and wet-season birding from November to March. The bats gather only for a limited period around October to December, with November and December usually central.
Serenje is the road gateway. The route approaches on the Samfya road and enters at Mulembo Gate; road conditions still need current confirmation during the rains.
Two or three nights during the bat period, or one to two nights for wetland wildlife, hides, walks, and birding at other times.
