How the route joins up
Travel times and access inside protected areas vary with weather, water, park rules, and track conditions. Confirm current guidance locally.
Lusaka → North Luangwa National Park
Use an arranged light-air transfer into North Luangwa. The operating airstrip, intermediate stops, and schedule depend on the confirmed Safari plan.
North Luangwa National Park → Mpika
Follow the remote western park route through Mano Gate to the Great North Road. This stage is strongly seasonal and can take much longer after difficult conditions.
Mpika → Bangweulu Wetlands
Travel south on the Great North Road, then west through the Lavushi Manda approach. Rain and flood levels determine the final road or boat transfer.
Bangweulu Wetlands → Kasanka National Park
Use the mapped track connection toward Kasanka only in suitable dry-season conditions. Confirm the current route before setting out; outside that window, a different transfer plan is required.
Kasanka National Park → Serenje
Leave through Mulembo Gate and continue to Serenje for the Great North Road and onward travel.
