The Circuit, stop by stop
Open each park or gateway for its wildlife, seasonality, access, and nearby Safari geography.
Use Letaba as the named internal Kruger waypoint; it is still a slow park-road stage from Phalaborwa.
Complete the formal South Africa-Mozambique border crossing and current park-stay requirements.
Continue on the designated unpaved corridor through Limpopo National Park.
Recover, refuel, and confirm the much longer public-road stage toward Zimbabwe.
Cross from Chicualacuala into Zimbabwe; this follows a long external road transfer, not a park shortcut.
Enter Gonarezhou's southern sector on the designated Sango approach and follow current reporting procedures.
How the route joins up
Travel times and access inside protected areas vary with weather, water, park rules, and track conditions. Confirm current guidance locally.
Phalaborwa → Kruger National Park
Enter through Phalaborwa Gate and allow for Kruger speeds, sightings, and stops.
Kruger National Park → Giriyondo Border Post
Reach Giriyondo within operating hours; border formalities are additional to driving time.
Giriyondo Border Post → Limpopo National Park
Continue only after completing border and park procedures; the unpaved track is slow.
Limpopo National Park → Massingir
Continue east on the unpaved park corridor, allowing for surface and weather conditions.
Massingir → Sango Border Post
This is a long external transfer on Mozambique public roads around the protected areas, not a direct park-to-park connection.
Sango Border Post → Gonarezhou National Park
Use the designated Sango approach, then follow current Gonarezhou gate and reporting instructions.
