Journey
Leave Nyeri for the northern Aberdare highlands, pass through the current park-entry process and continue across remote moorland roads to Twin Rocks. From there, finish on foot through fast-changing mountain weather to the volcanic towers of Dragon's Teeth.
Confirm the active Aberdare gate, park entry, guide or ranger requirements, road conditions and weather before leaving Nyeri.

Complete the current Kenya Wildlife Service entry process and follow staff instructions. Do not assume a particular gate or internal road is open.
The road leaves the busier highland corridor for smaller roads toward the park; surfaces and travel times become less predictable.
The vehicle stage ends here and the walking stage begins. Confirm the return plan, daylight and weather before leaving the vehicle.

Expect wet or boggy ground, small stream crossings and little shelter. Fog can erase both the view and easy visual route-finding within minutes.
Treat the formation and surrounding moorland as a protected high-altitude environment. Keep to the approved route and turn back if weather or visibility makes continuing unsafe.
