Return through Himo and follow the signed gravel approach to the established Tanzanian visitor side of the transboundary crater lake.

Join the A23 toward Holili and watch for the signed Lake Chala turn after Himo.
Leave the paved road at the signed turn and expect a slower gravel approach.
The crater rim is steep. Follow current site rules and do not swim hike descend canoe or kayak unless the operating access point specifically permits and supervises it.
