Same lies south of Kilimanjaro beneath the Pare Mountains on the main road toward Dar es Salaam. It is the practical Home Base for Mkomazi National Park's Zange Gate and for understanding the drier landscape where mountain catchments, small towns, farms, and the wider Tsavo–Mkomazi ecosystem meet. Use the town to confirm park arrangements, stock supplies, and begin the quieter eastern end of the Circuit.
