Kakum brings visitors into tropical rainforest by footpath and high canopy walkway, with birdlife, butterflies and the sound and structure of the forest shaping the experience. Large mammals live here, but official guidance warns that game viewing is difficult, so this is a rainforest discovery rather than a conventional Safari.

Road travel from Cape Coast ends at the public visitor area. Forest trails and the canopy walkway continue through the managed visitor system and are not represented as road geometry.
