Its long access, limited infrastructure, and immense interior create a slower, more self-contained Safari than northern Tanzania.
When to go
June to October brings the main dry-season concentrations around water. From November through May, rain can make black-cotton tracks difficult.
Gateway & getting there
The Circuit flies to Mpanda, then follows the Sitalike road toward Ikuu. Direct seasonal or charter air access may also be possible.
Typical visit
Several nights centered on unhurried game drives across the Ikuu and Katuma areas, with extra time for remote conditions.
