Why this gateway?

Arusha is where separate protected areas become one geographic circuit. Roads fan west and south-west while airports connect farther sections of the ecosystem.

Getting there

Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha Airport, and the trunk road network feed the city. The existing Liv Kenya return Journey also passes through Arusha, connecting Rwanda and Babati with Moshi and Kenya.

Typical visit

Use at least an overnight for route planning and current park arrangements; longer stays make room for the city and Mount Meru context beyond departures.
