Safari from Mbombela
Mbombela is the regional Lowveld gateway where the N4 arrival meets routes toward Kruger and the Mpumalanga escarpment.
It breaks a long approach into honest geography and provides services before the circuit turns north toward Blyde River Canyon.
Summer is hot and rainy; winter is generally drier. Road and park conditions should still be checked for the actual travel dates.
The N4 links Johannesburg and Mbombela. The circuit then takes the western escarpment approach so it does not retrace the later Panorama Route descent.
