Sanniquellie is the first-release organizing base for Liberia’s side of the Nimba highlands, where permits, guides and the day’s East Nimba approach must be confirmed before departure. County-capital services and proximity to Yekepa, Zortapa and community access points make it a defensible base. Ganta remains a corridor node; Yekepa and reserve headquarters remain access points rather than Home Bases.
