Safari from Phalaborwa

Phalaborwa is the western gateway for the northern half of this transfrontier route, immediately outside Kruger's Phalaborwa Gate.

It makes the long internal park distances to Letaba and Giriyondo visible before the international crossing.

Park and border hours change seasonally; summer heat and rain can also slow the unpaved route beyond Giriyondo.

Enter Kruger at Phalaborwa Gate, then travel on designated visitor roads through Letaba to Giriyondo. Distances inside the park take longer than ordinary highway distances.
