The park's Main Gate is close to the city, while the regional road network supports fuel, supplies, an overnight, and the next long stage toward Sekenani.
Lake Nakuru can be visited throughout the year, but rain and lake levels change wildlife distribution and road conditions.
KWS places the park on the Nairobi–Nakuru highway, with the Main Gate near Nakuru and Lanet and Nderit as other approaches.
