Safari from Musanze

Musanze is the established service town for Volcanoes National Park and its permit-led mountain experiences.

It separates the living regional town from the Kinigi park headquarters and the protected Virunga slopes beyond.

Permit check-in and early briefing times make an overnight near Musanze or Kinigi the practical choice for many guided activities.

The circuit arrives from Gisenyi and continues on the short public-road approach to park headquarters at Kinigi.
