Moshi

Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania

Moshi is the urban gateway to the Tanzanian side of Mount Kilimanjaro, but it is more than a staging point for climbers. Markets, coffee, transport, Chagga communities, and the everyday life of the mountain's southern foothills meet here. Use Moshi as a Home Base for Materuni and for the road east through Himo to Marangu, while taking time to notice the city and the working landscape that support every mountain Journey.
