The lake is reached on internal park roads rather than as a separate roadside attraction. The experience is primarily the Journey through montane forest and the eventual crater view. Conditions, visibility, water level, and wildlife presence vary with weather and season.

Visiting
Getting there
Enter Marsabit National Park through the gate directed by KWS and follow the current internal route to the Lake Paradise viewpoint. The mapped Journey begins at Abdul Gate, but operations or road conditions may make another gate preferable on the day of travel.
Typical visit: 3.0 hours
Best time: Early daylight offers the greatest margin for slow forest driving and the return to the gate. Wet weather can make steep sections difficult, so confirm access locally before committing to the lake road.
