Damongo

Damongo, Savannah Region, Ghana

Damongo is the Savannah Region capital and the useful community base between Tamale and Mole. It brings local services, Gonja cultural geography and the nearby Larabanga and park approaches into one practical northern stay. Use Damongo to separate the long regional transfer from time at Mole and to keep nearby cultural places visible in their own right, rather than absorbing every stop into a Safari itinerary. Gonja is prominent around Damongo and the wider Savannah Region, while Dagbani, Vagla, Mamprusi and other languages are also present.
